The Week Ahead - 1st October 2017

Sunday:
  • 11am:  Worship in Aultbea Church of Scotland with Sunday school and creche, followed by a cup of tea
  • 4pm:  Poolewe Sunday School
  • 5pm:  Worship in Poolewe Free Church followed by a cup of tea
  • 7pm:  YF in Culconich

Today: We welcome and thank Murdo MacLeod and Donnie MacRae who are leading our services today.
 
Tuesday: Shipmates: Aged 4 to P3, 4.30pm to 5.45pm and P4 to S2, 7pm to 8.30pm, both Poolewe Village Hall.  Indoor football for High school age from 7pm to 8.30pm in Aultbea Village Hall
 
Wednesday: Prayer meeting: 7.15pm Aultbea Church of Scotland
 
Friday: Choices lunch: 12 noon to 2pm in Aultbea Church hall
 
Saturday: Prayer meeting for Dan: 7pm Aultbea Church of Scotland – open to everyone, please come along
 
Meals: If you know of anyone who would benefit from meals eg just out of hospital, bereavement etc – Phone Marion on 731212
 
The Message: Two Lochs Radio broadcast a local service on Sunday evenings at 9.30pm @ 106.6 FM or at www.2lr.co.uk.  First Light is broadcast at 7.25am each morning & Sunday Light at 8am on Sundays
 
Blythswood Food bank:  Any items for the foodbank can be left at either church building or in the Aultbea Free Church Hall.  Blythswood are requesting Breakfast cereal, tins of tomatoes, tins of corned beef, sugar, cartons of longlife juice, long grain rice.

Wednesday: Morag MacLeod OM: 7.30pm in Gairloch Church of Scotland – everyone is encouraged to attend
 
Saturday: Big Free Rally: Bus leaves Aultbea at 8.30am, Poolewe 8.40am and Gairloch at 8.50am

Blythswood bag trawl: The Shipmates children are doing a bag trawl this week to collect items of clothing, bric a brac etc for Blythwood.  There are bags at the front door if you are able to put anything to Blythswood.  Please return the filled bags next Sunday.
 
Happy birthday: To Jacob who was 7 on Friday and to Fox who will be 8 on Wednesday! 😊

  • Walking group: Circuit from Mellon Udrigle to Opinan.  Meet at Golf Club car park as usual or at Mellon Udrigle Beach car park.
  • Shipmates: There is no Shipmates this week due to the schools being off
 
Wednesday:
  • Gairloch Free Church Bible study and prayer – 7pm Gairloch Free Church
  • Poolewe & Aultbea mid week meeting – 7.15pm Poolewe Free Church
  • Church of Scotland Bible study, discussion and prayer – 7.30pm Gairloch Church of Scotland Hall
 
Thursday:
  • Pin and Needles in Gairloch Church of Scotland hall 2 - 4pm
 
Saturday:
  • YF trip to Ross County: Arrangements will be given at YF tonight
  • Poolewe & Aultbea prayer time: 7pm in Aultbea Church of Scotland

  • 9th to 12th October – October camp for anyone in Primary 5 to Secondary 2
  • 23rd October: M & M’s ladies group, Aultbea Free Church
  • 5th November – Together for Christ, Joint communion
 
Blythswood Shoeboxes: Leaflets for the shoe boxes are available from Onie (phone 712565); the boxes will leave here on 6th November.  (M & M ladies please note that we are doing the shoeboxes at our October meeting)
 
Ladies evening: Alive Ministries are running a ladies evening at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on the evening of Monday 2nd October.  Tickets are £15 each and Susan has some spare tickets.  If any ladies would like to go, please see Susan
 
Life & Work:   The 2018 order has to be placed soon. Anyone who wishes to start receiving the magazine or cancel their subscription please contact Cathy Macleod, 712305 soon. The annual discounted subscription is £27.36.
