Please send any items for next week’s notices to Susan before Thursday The Kirk Session have discussed the need for an additional elder within the congregation who could represent the Laide area of our parish. As such, we are proposing Neil Macrae to be elected as an elder. Instead of the election taking place by ballot papers and voting as has been done in the past the Kirk Session have taken the decision to inform the congregation, by this notice, of our intention. We would ask if there are any objections please contact Dan on 731345. All calls will be kept strictly confidential. If there are no objections within the next three weeks we will take this as a sign the congregation are happy with the selection and desire to proceed with this call on Neil to eldership. We ask God to bless our church in this.

Easter evening: Senior Shipmates are running an Easter evening on Thursday 30th March at 7.15pm in Poolewe Village Hall Communion Notice: For many years the common weekend has been held in set months of the year. Traditionally we have enjoyed joining with one another congregations for those times. At present, and due to the vacancy in Gairloch, the Kirk Sessions of Gairloch, Kinlochewe and Torridon & Poolewe and Aultbea have taken the decision to hold joint communion on the following dates along with the Church of Scotland: 7th May and 4th June and 5th November These dates proposed will replace the previous traditional communion weekends and will help alleviate some of the difficulties for Dan as inter-moderator in arranging multiple speakers and weekends. There will be smaller “in-house” communions as the Kirk Session feel is needed. We look forward to joining with our brothers and sisters in Christ on these dates and reflecting the reality of Heaven which is the one body, one church worshipping the one true living God. If you wish to discuss this further contact Dan on 731345. Please send any items for next week’s notices to Susan before Thursday Sunday:
